Introduction
p e a is a small contemporary range of luxury babywear products. These small collections combine the most luxurious of undyed natural fibres combining tradition with contemporary design.
All p e a clothing uses fleece from Alpacas that are bred in England. The yarn used in our products is spun by highly skilled craftsmen at a carefully selected mill and the garments sympathetically produced and individually hand-finished by our British manufacturer.
p e a products are the ideal present or gift and can be purchased exclusively online.
Background
The Pure English Alpaca Company was founded in 2009 and is a collaboration between Judy Clarke and Helen Newman aimed at building a new branded collection of luxurious garments. The baby knitwear collection is made exclusively from English alpaca yarn and is manufactured and hand-finished in England. A small range of exclusively designed cotton homeware products was added for Winter 2009.
About The Designer
Helen graduated in Fashion Design from Kingston University, London. Helen went on to work in Italy and London designing knitwear for a number of leading brands including Nicole Farhi, Joseph and Top Shop. Helen’s passion remains the design of simple, contemporary clothing made using beautiful luxurious fabrics and yarns.
About The Alpacas
Judy has bred Alpacas for 14 years at her home in Somerset overlooking the Mendip foothills. All 65 alpacas are inidividually named and graze in paddocks where no pesticides or chemicals are used. Her alpacas are professionally shorn annually in May and the fleeces spun, without the addition of dye, in England.
